Renee's Rod Repairs. Over 25 years experience in all aspects of rod building.

Back in 1993 at the age of 14 Renee Foxon became the Saturday girl in her families tackle shop, Foxons in St.Asaph, North Wales. Straight away it became apparent that her arty skill set and attention to detail suited the rod building side of the business. Her father Arthur Foxon had been a self taught rod builder since a young age and was more than happy to pass on his knowledge to a younger set of eyes! By the age of 16 Renee was doing all the repair work for Sage UK, something she still handles in her workshop today. When she left school at 18 she went straight into full time work at the shop building her own range of fly rods, firstly on Fibatube blanks then moving onto the R.L.Winston blanks. Since moving her workshop over to her house based in Snowdonia in 2018 she finds her time is filled more with repairs, restoration and custom builds so there is no longer a range of Foxons rods, if you have one keep it safe!

Over the years Renee has dealt with and enjoyed many challenges with some unusual requests and repairs. Whether it’s one whipping to replace, a new cork handle or extension to add, a breakage, a new reel fitting or a full custom build. Whether on carbon, glass or cane (once a tank aerial!) please get in touch and see what Renee can help you out with.

As a keen angler herself Renee understands the connection that can be had between rod and angler, and the importance of a quick turn around time!
